The LCU Fund for Women’s Education is a private, secular, non-profit organization with more than 160 years of providing housing support for women pursuing their education. The mission of the fund is to award grants that ease the burden of New York City housing costs for promising women scholars preparing for careers that serve the community, so that they may obtain their college degree.
Specifically, the LCU Fund for Women’s Education:
- Focuses on the five boroughs of New York City, where safe and affordable housing is hard to find and generally priced beyond the means of aspiring scholars.
- Concentrates on women pursuing degrees in the arts, education, social work, religious leadership, health care, public administration, and criminal justice.
- Partners with select institutions of higher learning and arts academies.
