LCU Fund Seeks Social and Media Consultant for Short-Term Project

The LCU Fund for Women’s Education (the Fund) is seeking a part-time, temporary Social and Digital Media Specialist to expand the Fund’s digital presence on various social media platforms; develop online communities and create and publish digital content. 

The selected candidate will work in partnership with the Fund’s Communications and Development Committee and the Executive Director. The opportunity is open to current or former funded students only.

Key Responsibilities

  • Update social media accounts with current and relevant photos, video, or other content from activities and events.
  • Create new profiles on social media networks such as LinkedIn, YouTube, Facebook and Twitter.
  • Coordinate online outreach with LCU Fund students and alumnae.
  • Coordinate crowd-sourcing efforts.


  • Current or former recipient of an LCU Fund housing grant
  • Experience with Microsoft applications, basic photo-editing and video-editing software, and internet browsers.
  • Familiarity and facility with mainstream social media platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest and WordPress.
  • Have strong writing and editing skills.
  • Creative self-starter who is comfortable working independently.
  • Familiarity with basic marketing practices a plus.

Please note that work is performed remotely and requires use of your own computer to complete projects and tasks.

Contract Terms

The contract runs from March through June 2018 and totals $1,250. Payment will be made in four monthly installments or otherwise negotiated.
