Janet Nabila is currently a Grants Associate with the Citi Foundation. In this role, she is responsible for managing the Foundation's due diligence and grants management process, contributing to impact measurement and data analysis of the Foundation's overall portfolio, and providing assistance to nonprofit partners and relationship managers spanning over 80 countries. Prior to this role, Janet worked on the Foundation's finance team, where she worked on the Foundation's accounts payable and charitable contributions portfolio. She first joined the Citi Foundation as an associate for U.S. programs, where she helped review grantee applications and contributed to communications efforts.
Prior to joining Citi, Janet interned at the Mertz Gilmore Foundation to gain experience working in philanthropy while pursuing her Bachelor of Arts in American Studies from New York University simultaneously. Janet is originally from Bangladesh and grew up in New York City. Her upbringing and immigrant family background instilled lifelong values of education, hard work, and perseverance from an early age. She continues to uphold her commitment to education and in her spare time, volunteers as a mentor for youth-focused nonprofits in New York City.
